Bring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your compatible BMW or MINI within the original factory system, menus and controls.
This solution is designed for BMW and MINI vehicles from 2018 onwards equipped with an ENTRYNAV2 (ENAEVO) head unit and WAY Navigation. The unit does not have to have Navigation.
Even if your head unit does not have a factory Wi-Fi port, we can activate wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The required functionality is activated by remotely coding your original head unit. After activation, a dedicated USB dongle provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the car’s original system.
You will need:
- A Windows laptop
- An ENET cable (select it when ordering)
- Our dedicated wireless CarPlay & Android Auto dongle
IMPORTANT: This is not a DIY solution. Some coding is required, but we take care of the activation remotely and guide you through the entire process.

After your order, we will provide all the required information and files and contact you to arrange a remote coding session. Once the activation is completed, the wireless dongle will be shipped to you.

OEM ACTIVATION VS. ANDROID AUTO BOX
Both solutions have their advantages, depending on what you are looking for.
OEM CARPLAY & ANDROID AUTO ACTIVATION
This solution is purely focused on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Because the functionality is activated directly on the original head unit, the experience is faster, smoother and more seamlessly integrated with the original BMW/MINI system and controls.
Advantages:
- OEM integration
- Faster and more responsive
- Does not require factory Carplay to work
- Dedicated to just CarPlay & Android Auto
- No additional aftermarket interface (just the usb dongle)
- Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
- Always fullscreen, no special coding required for that
The result is a clean, fast and OEM-like CarPlay/Android Auto experience without replacing your original head unit or having to use an aftermarket MMI or Android Auto box.
ANDROID AUTO BOX
The Android Auto Box is an aftermarket interface that runs through the car’s original CarPlay system.
It is plug & play and DIY, so no coding is required. However, the vehicle must already have factory CarPlay.
Advantages:
- Plug & Play / DIY installation
- No coding required
- Install additional apps directly on the box
- Watch videos and use apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto
- More functionality and flexibility
The trade-off is that the Android Auto Box is less snappy and less seamlessly integrated than the OEM activation. However, it offers considerably more options and functionality outside of CarPlay and Android Auto.
WHICH SOLUTION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
If you have an Entrynav2 and no Carplay and no wifi port, then this is the best option period.
Choose OEM Activation if you mainly want Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and want the fastest, smoothest and most OEM-integrated experience possible.
Choose the Android Auto Box if you want a simple DIY plug-and-play solution, don’t want to deal with coding, and want the ability to install apps, watch videos and use additional Android functionality outside of CarPlay and Android Auto.
